Institute for Building & Urban Design
The Institute for Building and Urban Design is at the forefront of research in architectural engineering, construction management and planning to ensure that buildings, infrastructure, public spaces and places are buildable, fit for purpose, resource efficient, sustainable, resilient, adaptable and attractive.
Our taught postgraduate programmes reflect these areas of research and the specialist themes of: building drainage; acoustics; building simulation; low carbon buildings; construction management; town planning; and urban design.
