Energy and Renewables
The International Centre for Island Technology (ICIT) is part of IPE located at the University’s Orkney Campus. Its research and teaching focuses on renewable energy and aspects of marine resource management. ICIT has a strong track record of research into the environmental effects of oil and gas, fisheries, and conservation management. Increasing effort is now being put into understanding the impacts of marine renewable energy technologies and resource availability.
